Sacramental Guidelines for Confirmation

  • All families (Catholic school or public school) must be registered in the St. John Neumann Confirmation Preparation Program in both 9th and 10th grade.

9th Grade Foundational Program
(Catholic school or public school)

  • All teens are required by the Archdiocese of Atlanta to either be in an approved program at their parish, or Catholic schools. At St. John Neumann, Life Teen is our program for the 9th grade.
  • Life Teen is an approved parish program in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. We offer a Sunday Night Program starting with Mass at 5:00 PM followed by a Life Night from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.  All teens are to be in attendance on at least 3 of these nights per month to be considered in the Parish Program.

Teens are required to have attended a Parish Religious Program or Catholic School for at least 2 years prior to this foundational year.  (Proof of Attendance is required)

  • All (Catholic or public school) teens are requested to attend the Confirmation Retreat
  • All teens seeking Confirmation for the 2009 / 2010 school year are required to attend the Confirmation Formational Sessions that will be held on
    Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm Starting September 30th through November 4th. 
  • All teens are required to attend the Confirmation Presentation Mass and evening which follows along with their sponsor (or parent)
  • All (Catholic and public school) teens are requested to Work the Food Saturday/Sunday on November 21 / 22, 2009

Important Dates

  • August 30th - Baptismal Certificate with seal is due
  • September 20th - (5:00pm-8:00pm) Confirmation Presentation Mass and special evening to follow for the teens and their sponsor (or parent) Required
  • September 20th - Confirmation Sponsor Eligibility form is due
  • October 28th - Saint Project due
  • Confirmation rehearsal TBA
  • January 23rd, 2010 - is Confirmation

Life Teen Program

The Life Teen Program at SJN invites teens to establish a personal and dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. We strive to achieve this goal of leading teens closer to Christ by engaging teens in vibrant Masses, Life Nights, prayer experiences and service projects. Life Teen attracts teens by two major components... THE TRUTH and EXPERIENCE. Life Teen inserts teens into the mysteries of the Catholic Church so they can experience Christ's love through the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Life Teen is a comprehensive movement of the Holy Spirit that focuses on conducting excellent catechesis with the goal of understanding for conversion of heart.
