Baptism Preparation Classes

Baptism Classes in English are held on first Monday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Contact Deacon Bill Marten at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please register for the class so that we can have enough materials and supplies ready. Baptisms are held on the first and third Sundays of each month at 3:00 pm.

Baptism classes in Spanish are held on the second Friday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in room 103. Contact Carmen at 770-923-6633 ext 110 to register.

 

Guidelines For First Reconciliation & First Communion

2nd grade - 5th grade First Penance and First Eucharist

Download the 2011-2012 First Penance and First Eucharist registration form.

Our first meeting for parents on the sacrament of Reconciliation will be on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00 in room 4 in English, and Tuesday, October 4th at 7:00 in the Church in Spanish. Parents will receive their packets of information and the booklet to work on with their child at this meeting. The following are the dates for sacraments for the 2011-2012 year:

Reconciliation retreat- November 5th, 8:45-12:30 beginning with Mass

First Reconciliation- November 15th at 6:00

Parent meeting on First Communion: March 6th in Spanish and March 13th in English. This meeting is for parents only and will give you all the details for First Communion as well as the adult teaching for the Sacrament.

First Communion retreat: April 14th, 2012, 8:45-12:30 beginning with Mass

First Communion rehearsal for those receiving during Sunday Mass- Friday, May 4th at 6:30.

First Communion rehearsal for those receiving at the Saturday, May 12th Mass will be on Friday, May 11th at 6:30.

First Communion will be offered on Saturday, May 12th or during the 9, 11 and 1 o'clock Masses on Sunday May 6th, 13th, or 20th.

 Middle School (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) First Penance and First Communion 2011 - 2012

First Penance Preparation Dates: Wednesday, September 21st, October 19th, November 16th, 6:30-8:00pm. First Penance parent meeting in English on Tuesday, September 27th and in Spanish on Tuesday, October 4th.

First Communion Preparation Dates: Wednesday, January 18th, February 15th, March 21st, 6:30-8:00pm.

Sacrament Information

Instructions for parents and godparents are the first Monday each month, from 6:30-8:00 pm. Baptisms are celebrated in English the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 3:00 pm. Quienes estén interesados en el sacramento del Bautismo para sus hijos, han de tomar las pláticas PRE-bautismales los Segundo viernes de cada mes; 6:30 pm Lind Hall (según el horario que aparece en el Oficina Hispana). Notify the parish office of anyone unable to attend Sunday Mass wishing to receive Communion or Anointing of the Sick. Por favor notifique al Sacerdote si conoce a alguien que esté enfermo, en el hospital o la casa, y desee recibir la Sagrada Comunión o el Sacramento de la Unción de los Enfermos.

 

 

Requisitos Para Bautizos en Español

Los bautizos se celebran el 4to sábado de cada mes a las 11:00am en la iglesia. Para poder bautizar necesita pasar por la oficina parroquial, un mes antes de la fecha deseada, con los siguientes documentos:

  • Acta de Nacimiento del bebe (6 años o menos).
  • Los Padrinos que escoja deben de tener 16 años o mas, no pueden estar viviendo en unión libre o casados por lo civil, por lo tanto, si son solteros deberán traer el certificado de Primera Comunión y Confirmación.
  • Si son casados por la iglesia deberán traer el Certificado de Matrimonio por la iglesia.
  • Los padrinos que escojan deben ser “Católicos practicantes  activos”.
  • Deberán tomar una charla pre bautismal, el cual se ofrece el 2do viernes de cada mes a las 6:30pm, una vez haya registrado a su bebe.

 La oficina parroquial está abierta de lunes a viernes de 9:00am – 5:00pm.

 

Requisitos Para Misa de Quinceaños

La celebración de una Quinceañera es cuando la niña comienza el cambio de su vida con nuevas responsabilidades con la sociedad, pero lo más importante en el crecimiento spiritual. Por esta razón la celebración de una Quinceañera comienza con una ceremonia religiosa. Los requisitos para celebrar una misa de Quinceaños son los siguientes:

  1. La niña ya debe de tener el sacramento de la Primera Comunión y registrada en el Programa para la Confirmación.
  2. Debe pasar por la oficina parroquial para separa la fecha, el cual puede escoger cualquier sábado en los horarios: 11:00am, 2:00pm o 7:00pm, dependiendo la disponibilidad de la iglesia.
  3. 3. La Quinceañera junto con los padres, chambelanes y padrinos deberán tomar una charla.
 

Matrimonios

Para las parejas interesadas en contaer matrimonio, el primer paso a seguir es hacer cita con el sacerdote. Llamar a la oficina parroquial  lunes, miércoles, jueves o viernes.
