We have to consider them as part of our Christian family. In every family, even within very loving families, there are differences between the members, as there are some differences between our Protestant sisters and brothers and us, but all of us are the Christian family of God. We have to abandon any prejudice and negative judgment.
Particularly for us Catholics in this area of the world there is an additional reason to love and respect our Protestant sisters and brothers. We are late comers to this place and they have been here for a long time, holding on to and proclaiming the Christian faith. We have to be grateful to them for having accepted us in Gwinnett County. We just about invaded their land.
We should respect and admire the beautiful church and educational buildings that these brothers and sisters of ours have erected---very visible signs of their faith and of their generosity toward God. Church buildings, Protestant and Catholic alike, are all houses of God and we should respect them as such. The best thing to be proud of is the love that we have in our hearts.
