Celebrating Community

Pastor's Corner
Hopefully, you have heard the good news about our upcoming First Annual SJN Fall Festival to take place on Saturday, November 4 here at our Church.  We hope that this is the first of many more Festivals to come.  Our theme this year is "Celebrating Community".  Our parish is a beautiful mosaic of Diversity and we want to take time to celebrate and embrace the differences in our many cultures.  This will be a huge church-wide event that we hope will be inclusive of all our parishioners and ministries as we have many events and activities planned where we are striving to offer something for everyone.

We plan to kick-off the Festival on Friday night, November 3rd, 6:00pm to 10:00pm, with an old fashion Country Hoedown Dinner Dance.  We will have a huge tent outside under the stars, complete with a DJ, lights, fun, games, line dancing and a BBQ dinner with all of the fixings.  Tickets for this event will be $15 per person or $120 for a table of 10.  Free baby-sitting will be  offered for ticket purchasers via a "Hot Dog Hoedown" in Lind Hall for children ages 4-11 and a "Mini Hot Dog Hoedown" in the Nursery for children 3 and under.

On Saturday, November 4th, the Festival will be a flurry of activity with the following planned events:  an Entertainment Tent with local talent showing off their talents, a DJ, Arts & Crafts booths, a huge Garage Sale, many Food Concession booths, Silent Auction, Children's Activities (pony rides, moonwalks, slides, dunk tank, carnival games, crafts to make and take, Kiddie Bingo, cake walks, and more), Bake Sale (to include a Baking Contest), Adult Bingo, Used Book Sale, Produce Stand, and more!

Hope to see all of you there!
