Stewards In Action: Patrice Hodges

Patrice HodgesSharing Their Gifts of Time and Talent

Patrice Hodges

Parishioner Since July 1995

How do you share your time and talents?
I contribute to the work of the liturgy committee. I am also a Eucharistic Minister.

What got you started?
When I was a young mother in Chicago, I worked on the liturgy team in my parish as a way of enhancing my faith experience. When I came to Atlanta, I wanted to continue this work.

Why do you continue?
Working with the liturgy is one of my favorite things. It is my way of growing in my faith.

~ Favorite Moment ~
The families lighting the Advent wreath last year, and getting to help decorate the church for Christmas.

~ Quote ~
“Liturgy is like a strong tree whose beauty is derived from the continuous renewal of its leaves, but whose strength comes from the old trunk, with solid roots in the ground. “
Pope Paul VI, November 15, 1964

Ministry Spotlight

Altar Flowers Ministry
Parishioners who wish to honor a loved one or acknowledge a special occasion such as a memorial, anniversary or birthday, may contribute to the weekly altar flowers.
Arrangements may be custom designed at the request of the parishioner and the occasion will be acknowledged in the SJN Bulletin the same weekend that the flowers are on the altar.  Suggested contributions start at $75.00. Please note that altar flowers cannot be requested during Advent and Lent due to liturgical regulations. For more information, call Mary Marder, (678) 549-0188, or e-mail Mary at mary@freesiafloraldesign.com
