Mission

The mission of SJN Career Ministry is to provide a support group, networking opportunities, job search resources, and job leads for members and non-members of the church community who are unemployed, under-employed or returning to the work place. It is comprised of dedicated, focused and results oriented volunteers with a common goal of providing a positive environment, spiritual enrichment, motivation and inspiration to the job search process.

Meetings

Our networking meetings are designed to be inspirational and motivational.  At each meeting you can expect to:

  • Hear keynote speakers on career related topics.
  • Have your resume reviewed by volunteer career coaches, HR and recruiting professionals.
  • Network with other individuals for job leads and industry information.
  • Hear success stories  from others who have become gainfully employed through networking.
  • Enjoy refreshments and fellowship.

Meetings are held on the lower level of the new church building. Follow signs to meeting location.

Ministry Spotlight

Conversational Spanish Classes

A 12-week session of conversational Spanish classes is offered twice a year. The class objective is to provide the students with a basic knowledge of spanish as a second language. Donations received are divided between the church and a dinner for a homeless shelter downtown. Point of contacts are: Blanca Del Valle 770-921-7609 or Sharon Lyscas 770-806-0500.
