Meet the Facilitators

Alicia Philipp
Alicia Philipp is a Career Counselor with over 6 years experience working both with adults who are considering career changes, and with high school and college students who are making their first decisions about their career choice.  She is experienced in using various career assessments and is a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as well as the Strong Interest Inventory. Her prior experience also includes 7 years in the Human Resources field.

Ms. Philipp is a member of the National Career Development Association, and its Georgia chapter.  She has a Masters Degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University. She has been a member of the St. John Neumann parish for 10 years and lives in Lilburn with her husband, Dan, and two children.  With her youngest in kindergarten, Ms. Philipp is reactivating her Georgia license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and planning to return to work as a Career Counselor.


Dan White
20+ years of Sales / Sales Management in high technology sales. 
Dan has lead and worked at industry leaders such as Ciena, Hewlett Packard,
EMC, Emulex and Western Digital. Experienced in most all facets
of career transition such as:

  • Resume’ writing and review
  • Networking
  • Interviewing 



 


 

Gloria Orlosky, IT Consultant / Program Manager
GloriaGloria Orlosky is an IT Professional with 15 years of experience in Resource Management, Project Management and Client/Vendor Relationship Management. She is recognized for her expertise in translating complex information into easily understandable written and verbal communication. Having mentored friends and family on how to conduct a successful job search for many years, Gloria became a member of the Saint John Neumann Executive Leadership Team responsible for developing the SJN Career Ministry. In this role she hopes to help people in her community prepare for and successfully return to the workforce.  Gloria is currently enrolled in Professionals Studies Program at Shorter College. She believes it’s never too late to finish what was started many years ago, and shares her passion for learning as a continuous process. Gloria has been a member of the SJN Catholic Church for the past 23 years. She is married to George J. Orlosky, Jr. and has two sons, Nicholas Orlosky, a rising senior at George State University, and Ryan Orlosky, a rising senior at Brookwood High School.

Julianne S. Franke brings 17 years of experience in coaching and empowering individuals through career and life tr ansitions.  Areas of specialty include:

Ms. Franke has a proven track record of success delivering life coaching and career transition services that have been highly effective in facilitating professionals, mid-level and senior-level executives’ ability to leverage networking resources and penetrate hidden job market opportunities.  She has developed a large and diverse clientele, as well as a solid network of specialized industry resources, HR professionals, executive recruiters, and consultants to support and enhance each client’s career success.

Prior experience includes counseling and training positions within HR departments and not-for-profit agencies.  This involved research, design, and development of corporate training programs and support materials for management development, performance improvement, and a wide range of human relations issues.

Ms. Franke is an active member of the Career Management Alliance and has achieved their highest designation, the Certified Career Master (CCM). She has been interviewed on local television and published in national industry publications.

Ms. Franke has a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame.

Julianne has been a member of St. John Neumann Church for 25 years. She is a member of the Executive Leadership Committee tasked with developing and implementing the new SJN Career Ministry program

 


Rachel Overby
Rachel Overby is a multi-talented professional encompassing over 15 years of
corporate experience within the retail industry.  Her background includes training and facilitation, marketing, and communications management.  Having a passion for working with people and helping jobseekers with their job search,
Rachel became a member of the Saint John Neumann Executive Leadership Team responsible for developing the SJN Career Ministry. In addition, she is also involved in the Crossroads Career Network, a non-profit organization that helps
people at crossroads in their careers by providing counsel, contacts and
encouragement that equips and supports them to hear and follow God's calling as they explore careers and find jobs.  Rachel is tech savvy, manages the SJN Career Ministry Web site and creates collateral materials for the ministry when needed. Rachel has lived in the Lilburn area for the past two and half years and is a new member of the SJN Catholic Church.  She is married to Mark Overby and has a one year old son, Carson Overby.


Robin Schlinger
Robin Schlinger, owner of Robin’s Resumes® is a recognized Resume Writing Expert.
She has earned two key certifications - Certified Advanced Resume Writer (CARW)
andCertified Federal Resume Writer (CFRW) from
Career Directors International (CDI). She is a member of three of the
top career industry organizations, CDI, Career Management Alliance and
National Resume Writers Association (NRWA).

Robin has been writing resumes since 2001, starting out as a contract resume writer for some of the leading resume writing organizations in the United States. In 2006, she started own company, Robin’s Resumes® (www.robinresumes.com), to further help job candidates bring value to their career marketing packages. Robin specializes in Executive Resumes, Technical Resumes (including Chemical Engineering and IT) and Federal Resumes.

Based on her excellent innovation, writing and editing skills, Robin was selected to judge the CDI TORI™ (Toast of the Resume Industry) Awards, “World’s Best Resume Writer Competition” and Career Innovator Awards. She is also a resume writing expert for Tory Johnson’s Women For Hire, where she spoke recently on resume writing at a career fair covered by the local television networks. She also has given presentations on resume writing to professional organizations such as the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and American Society for Quality. She has been invited and has given a Podcast and teleseminar on developing questionnaires for resume writers for the industry and O*NET.

When Robin writes resumes, she draws upon her broad knowledge gained during her 20-years leadership experience as a Senior Chemical Engineer, Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, Planning Analyst and Computer Simulation Applications Engineer, saving millions of dollars for Fortune 500 company bottom lines, including Mobil Chemical, ABB Simcon and Brown and Williamson. Robin earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
