Our New Career Ministry

Career Ministry LogoWe are excited to announce that we will launch a career ministry in June.  The mission of the new SJN Career Ministry is to provide a support group, networking opportunities, job-search resources, and job leads for members and non-members of the church community who are unemployed, under-employed or returning to the work place. It is comprised of dedicated, focused and results-oriented volunteers with a common goal of also providing a positive environment, spiritual enrichment, motivation and inspiration to the job search process.

Please go to the SJN Career Ministry page for complete details and a schedule of upcoming job search workshops.

Please help us make the new Career Ministry a success. We need to identify parishioners who can assist this ministry in one of three ways:

  1. Join the speakers' panel. Address the group of job seekers on topics relevant to successful job search and placement.
  2. Serve as an industry sector contact. You should be willing to speak to individuals one-on-one about your employment field.
  3. Provide your professional services.  Unemployed heads of household may benefit from legal, financial, insurance, and real estate advice at a time of crisis. The ministry will confidentially direct those in need to you for consultation at complementary or reduced fees.

For any questions or to get involved in the new Career Ministry, please contact Deacon Bill Marten via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or phone at 770-923-6633, x114.

Meetings and workshops start June 6th.  Read more....

Ministry Spotlight

Special Meals Ministry
Special MealsThe Special Meals Ministry at SJN is available to help families in our parish who have experienced illnesses, surgeries, deaths or even births of new family members. This ministry can help provide home-cooked meals during difficult or challenging times. Simple meals, made with love, are our specialty. We will work within your family's dietary needs and/or restrictions. If you, or someone you know, is in need of assistance with meals, please contact Mary Ann Cote at 770-558-6645. Volunteers always welcomed.
