Changing Our Weekday Mass Schedule

In the hopes of continuing the spiritual renewal of our parish family, I have decided to change the weekday Mass schedule for St. John Neumann. I have done this, after consulting with our clergy, our staff, the school community, our Pastoral Council and our Liturgy Planning Committee. This change of the daily Mass schedule is but a part of a re-structuring of our efforts in the desire for spiritual renewal. The clergy and staff of SJN hope to serve you as instruments of  the Lord's redeeming love through prayer and catechesis, service and fellowship;  and we seek to offer the rich spiritual tradition of the Catholic Church to as wide an audience as possible. By its nature, the Church and this parish is about spreading the Good News!

As far as the weekday Mass schedule is concerned:  we will add early evening confession (4:30 to 5:15 PM) and Mass (5:30 to about 6:15 PM), on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. The daily 9:15 "school" Mass will change times as well, moving to 8:30 AM (Monday through Saturday).

But this is not all. We will add several family and adult ongoing formation classes in the fall. Each Thursday, along with the aforementioned period for confessions and Mass, and along with our offerings for the younger children, we will offer classes/discussion groups aimed to assist young families (6:30 to 7:30 PM). We will offer adult ongoing formation (7:30 to 9 PM). We will move the period of Adoration in English, from 8 PM to 7 PM; and we will move the Adoration in Spanish, from Friday to Thursday, beginning at 8:15 PM.
