Celebrate!

A blessed and joy-filled Easter to one and all!

We, the members of the SJN family of faith, are called to live this Solemnity...  We are called to live our faith in God's great gift, the blessing of the Lord Jesus. We pray, we study, we work in the world, seeking to bring God's plan of life to fruition. And, in addition to all of these blessings, we celebrate the love of the Lord with one another as family.

Please mark your calendars for Saturday, the 25th of April. On the 25th, from 6 to 8 PM, we will gather together in Donnellan Hall for our Table of Fellowship pot-luck meal. Please read about "what to bring" in the bulletin. Please plan to bring a dish or two, and see the multiplication of the loaves... as the Spirit of the Lord multiples what you've brought, so that the whole parish may enjoy a meal together.

Come and see!

Ministry Spotlight

PreCana Ministry
PreCana is  a program  for engaged couples designed to cover topics that will help them in their married life.  It consists of 5 two hour sessions led by a trained married couple with an individual engaged couple.  The engaged couple prepares for each session by completing  readings and answering questions from a workbook.  Through group discussions of the workbook topics and questions, sharing of the facilitators own experiences, and personal reflection, engaged couples are guided through topics useful for a successful future marriage.  Some of the topics presented are; understanding the families we came from, the changing nature of marriage, personal growth, mutual decision-making, the elements of effective communication, conflict management, intimacy and expression of love, financial planning, marital spirituality,  essential elements of a Christian marriage, family planning, and parenting.
