Next weekend, 20-21 June, the Archdiocese of Atlanta will hold its annual Eucharistic Congress at the Georgia International Convention Center. The Congress begins at 6:00 P.M. on Friday evening (20 June), with a Healing Mass. Then at 8:00 P.M., there is a Revive workshop for young adults. Then on Saturday, the doors to the convention center open at 7:30 A.M., for a day of prayer and adoration, instruction and exhortation.
Please know that Matthew Kelly, the popular author that we have become familiar with (in his donation of his book to us), is a featured speaker at the Congress.
Please see the Archdioceses' web page (www.archatl.com/congress) for more details. SJN's own Ken and Nancy Fehner have been working for months now, in order to assist you in planning for your participation in the Congress. I thank these two parish leaders, and for all who give of themselves in the service of faithfulness.

This Sunday is Father’s Day, a civil remembrance that has great spiritual significance. Fatherhood and motherhood… the joining of two into one flesh, and the gift of new life… this is the blessing of the created world. For those of us that have lost our dads, tomorrow should be a day of remembering and being thankful. For those of you that have your dad still with you, call him… love him… pray for him. Happy Father's Day to all our dads.

The work on our Building a Legacy of Faith project is running at full speed. The Steering Committee is in the midst of gearing up with General Contractors and looking to fill-out the various committees we will need. If you have an interest in working with us in any capacity, please send me an e-mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) and I'll make sure that it gets to the right folks.
Please remember that we will need to redeem every dollar that has been pledged to our efforts. And, as for that 71% of the parish that has yet to pledge pledges… we hope that these friends of ours will step out in faith and give themselves to this project, so that we will be able to build more of what we all need and want. This physical makeover of SJN is a vital part of the spiritual renewal… the renewal of heart… that all long for.
