Catholic Relief in Myanmar (Burma)

In response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar (Burma), Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is supporting the relief efforts of the Caritas Internationalis network in the worst affected areas in Myanmar (the storm hit an area populated by 24 million people). In the wake of the powerful earthquake in China that has claimed more than 40,000 lives, CRS is supporting the emergency response of their partner Caritas Hong Kong. Caritas Internationalis.

Altar Linen Ministry

Ever wonder who launders the cloths  used  to wipe the chalice (purificators) at the daily and weekend masses?

We have a ministry of volunteers who gather up the used altar cloths and purificators each week, wash and press them, and then return them to the working sacristy for another week of use.
