Sharing Their Gifts of Time and TalentLynn Fonseca
How do you share your time and talents?
I am a stay-at-home mother of three who rarely stays home. I am a WCBS Core Team member, participant and former facilitator on Wednesday mornings. I am Lector Coordinator and member of the Liturgy Committee. I am an EDGE Core Team member for our middle school program, as well as a Eucharistic Minister. We also participate in the Family Formation program.
What got you started?
To share my faith with others, deepen my love of Christ, and to serve my faith-community by becoming an active participant in our liturgies.
Why do you continue?
To please God, first and foremost. My spiritual journey is ongoing, so the more time I spend in the Word, participate more fully in Mass and share His message with others, the closer I get to my goal, heaven.
~ Favorite Moments ~
Having a former student come up and hug me. Hearing a fellow parishioner stop me after Mass to tell me I read “beautifully.”
~ Quote ~
“This is the future ~ this is God’s wish for us ~ to serve through love in action, and to be inspired by the Holy Spirit, to act when called.” -- Mother Theresa
