January 22, 2008 marks the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Since that tragic court ruling, over 47 million unborn babies have been killed in our country by abortion. And many millions of families are suffering from the spiritual and emotional consequences of this decision. Please join us in remembering these children and their mothers as we solemnly commemorate this date through the following activities and events:
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
We will begin a 24 hour Adoration on Monday, January 21st at 7:30 pm and continue throughout the night and day until 7:30 pm Tuesday. Please sign up in the narthex to spend an hour with our Lord to pray for an end to abortion, for a softening of the heart of those who promote and perform abortions, for those facing a crisis pregnancy, for those who have made the choice to abort in the past and for an increase of respect for life from conception to natural death for all in our country. We will especially need coverage during the day while many are downtown at the March for Life and throughout the night. The Knights of Columbus have volunteered to provide additional presence throughout the night for the comfort and security of those in adoration.
Circle of Life Series

. The Together for Life Memorial begins at 12:00 on the State Capitol steps and is followed by a Silent Walk. If you have never done this, it is a moving day of prayer and remembrance plus a powerful pro-life presence in our community. Children of all ages are welcome, including strollers and with a particular encouragement for middle and high school students.
