Adult Evening Bible Study

Adult Evening Bible Study begins a new study: The Epistle of James, on Mondays beginning February 6, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. John Neumann Church downstairs in Room 7. This is a 12 week study and will finish on April 30. This would be an excellent Lenten activity. Adult Faith Formation Day

Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 9 am-5 pm

Mark your calendar for this year’s day of faith-filled learning! A wide variety of workshop sessions will be available in English and in Spanish. Our keynote speaker will be Fr. Wayne Cavalier, O.P., Ph.D.

Women's Catholic Bible Study

Women’s Catholic Bible Study continues its 10th anniversary year with a new study: The Epistle of James, on Wednesdays beginning Jan. 18, 2012 from 10 a.m. to noon at St. John Neumann.

WCBS is a multi-parish program open to all women regardless of Bible knowledge and this year is following the Catholic Scripture Study International written by Dr. Scott Hahn and Mark Shea. WCBS includes both small group discussion and a teaching lecture. A nursery is available to registered members of the study.

 Epistle to the Hebrews: written to the Jewish converts showing the Old Covenant practices of ritual sacrifices has been replaced by the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, the new sacrificial lamb.

Epistle of James: challenging followers of Christ to not just “talk the talk” but “walk the walk” with emphasis on practical aspects of Christian life.
